Acting like myself all along

I was eating some cereal on my balcony today overlooking the streets of Los Angeles.

I noticed some parents and their kids who were dressed up either similar to their parents, or completely in their pajamas.

It made me think back to when I was a kid, I would always complain to my mom about wearing the clothes she demanded I wear for family gatherings.

I donโ€™t know if it was because the clothes themselves were lame, or if I just hated being told what to do.

This trend continued into adulthood.

I always have been the one to make my own decisions and seek independence from my parents.

Itโ€™s funny to see how we carry the trends of childhood into adulthood, yet it only gets more complicated from this point forward.
